I'm Headlining... But This One Is Different.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 9TH, I'll be headlining Final Edition Bar, and I hope you come out because it's going to be a lot of fun.

But this show is a little different.

It's not special because I'm headlining.

It's special because of the producer.

The show is put together by comedian Matt McMurphy, the creator of White Wolf Comedy. Matt has only been doing stand-up for about six months.

Six months.

They grow up so fast, don't they?

One of the reasons I love meeting new comics is because they're full of ideas, hope, enthusiasm, excitement, and they're ready to grind every single day.

But every new comic doesn't have one thing...

PATIENCE.

Then again...

None of us did.

Why would we? We just got a shot of the most intoxicating drug on the face of the planet. You get on stage, people laugh, and suddenly you think you're six months away from Netflix.

Brother...

After 21 years in stand-up, I've learned that patience is one of the greatest skills you can have in your utility belt.

Not just in comedy.

In life.

You've been emailing bookers every single day.

Seven days a week.

For years.

Nothing.

PATIENCE.

You'll get booked.

You want to headline, but everyone says you need 500,000 followers. You've got 700. So you post two videos a day.

Every day.

Seven days a week.

PATIENCE.

You'll build your audience.

That one joke you've been grinding on

Set after set.

Week after week.

PATIENCE.

One day it'll get a standing ovation.

Then

People will get tired of hearing it.

PATIENCE.

You'll write another one.

That's why I wanted to headline this show.

Not because I needed another headline spot.

Because I wanted to help Matt.

I wanted to help White Wolf Comedy.

Every legendary comic, every great producer, and every famous comedy club started somewhere.
